"Promoting dementia awareness in Doylestown through community-wide engagement and education"
In 2019, the community health needs assessment projected that the 65+ population would increase over 15% by 2023. The 2025 community health needs assessment re-identified aging in place as a high priority.
Recognizing this, Doylestown Health is committed to changing the way seniors age so they can age with grace and strength. Programs like Walk with a Doc and dementia-friendly Memory Cafes serve as a place to assist seniors with common health conditions. These events help provide space for inclusivity, engagement and socialization.

Doylestown Health is pleased to invite you to our free monthly Memory Café, within the Teen Center at Doylestown’s YMCA. This event is open to older adults with memory loss and their care partners in our community.
Each month features a new performance or educational presentation in a one-hour event. Guests will enjoy light snacks and conversation, and add a new experience to their day-to-day lives while connecting with others living with cognitive impairment in a safe, social space.
As a reminder, the Teen Center is a separate building from the main YMCA. Drive past the main building and park toward the back of the parking lot. There will be a sign outside the event space. There are varying events each month from 11AM-12PM – please check our events page for more details.
